The application of intelligent agents in the area of decision support systems is novel. Due to the distributed and instantaneous characteristics of agents, the use opens up for more dynamic features than found in traditional decision support systems.
A draft design of the application of decision support agents in the system has been elaborated.
The agents under consideration for inclusion in the EDEN-IW system will be linked to the following type of operations:
· scaling and aggregating data,
· presenting and projecting in time,
· presenting uncertainties and decision options.
